About the Library/Media Center
The Wilson High School Library Media Center has a collection of 30,000 books concentrated in materials to support the curriculum. The Library is available before and after school and throughout the day to provide access to materials and computers. Access to electronic information may be found on the Library Home Page. This provides a gateway to resources and internet links through which Wilson students and staff can research topics of interest.

Periodical and newspaper databases, encyclopedias, and curriculum links are located on the Library Home Page and may be accessed from school and from home. The Library has an online card catalog. Library staff trains students in effective search strategies for finding appropriate information in printed and electronic resources, a skill which is essential to success in college and the workplace.

Wilson’s Library meets the CIM goals of offering students the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to retrieve information using technology. We believe that teaching our students to utilize electronic sources as well as those in print is an integral part of our mission in the Wilson community.
