Q: What is "Grad Night Party?"

A: Grad Night 2008 is an all-night, chaperoned, drug, alcohol, tobacco and weapon-free celebration for the 2008 Graduates of Wilson High School. The Grad Night Party is organized for all Seniors from WHS who fulfill all of the requirements necessary to earn their diplomas and walk across the stage at the graduation ceremony after 12 years of compulsory education.

Q: When does Grad Night take place?

A:Grad Night 2008 begins immediately following the commencement ceremony on June 1st, 2008. Students leave directly from graduation for a secret location disclosed to them once they are on the bus. They will be returned SAFE and SOUND to WHS by 6 am on June 2nd.

Participating parents are dedicated to providing a fun and exciting event full of activities, entertainment and prizes that ALL graduating Senior will enjoy and remember for years to come!

Q: How much does Grad Night cost?

A: We are charging $50.00 for tickets until Dec. 31st; on January 1, 2008 the ticket price will rise to $60.00.

Q: Who is organizing Grad Night?

A: Parents produce Grad Night chaperone the event all night long to make sure that the party environment is safe and fun, free from alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or weapons use. We are a fun bunch of parents who enjoy working with each other, love our children, and want them to be safe on graduation night with their friends.

Grad Night 2008 Committee is being chaired by Sally New (503.245.5454) with an extraordinary amount of help from Carolyn Shain Synder and Tana Morgen.

We encourage more parents to help with this fantastic and memorable event for Wilson's graduationg class of 2008

Q: How can I help?

A: First, join the committee! And then, participate in the following activities:

• Sports Pin purchases
• Cookie Encouragements
• Corsages from Fiore's for Wilson dances
• 50/50 tickets
• book and rummage sale - The Grad Party Gently Used Book and Video Sale will be held at Burlingame Baptist Church on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30th-Dec.1st from 9AM-5PM. On Friday night, 11/30, from 6PM-9PM local musicians will entertain shoppers druing extra special sales throughout the evening, If you'd like to donate books or videos to help the Grad Party Committee raise funds for the 2008 party on June 1st-2nd, bring them to the BB Church (SW MIles Street - just off Barbur Blvd, NE of A-Boy Electric) on Nov. 29th from 8AM-5PM, or to the school office during school hours. These fund-raising activities support scholarships for students unable to meet our financial needs.
